
Efforts to realize the Cultural Tourism City in Ponorogo Regency continue to be carried out. Not only the local Regency Government, the East Java Provincial Government is also involved in realizing this.
As carried out by the Tourism Destination Sector of the East Java Provincial Culture and Tourism Office in Ponorogo Regency this time, to realize the strengthening of local tourism potential in Reog City. One of the Regional Government Organizations in the Tourism Sector of East Java Province is providing mentored to tourism villages in Ponorogo from 25 to 27 February.

This activity was not only attended by 21 Tourism Villages in Ponorogo but also the Reog City Tourism Ecosystem team. The event was held for 3 days and was divided into 2 sessions. Where the first session was in the form of material for 2 days and a field review on the last day.
On the first day of this tourist village assistance, the East Java Provincial Culture and Tourism Office provided material on the direction of Ponorogo Regency’s development policy in Supporting the Strengthening of Tourist Villages by the Head of the Ponorogo Culture and Tourism Office. Then the material was continued with cultural-based tourist villages to support Reog Ponorogo which has been recognized by UNESCO.

Head of the Ponorogo Culture, Tourism, Youth and Sports Office, Judha Slamet Sarwo Edhie, said that currently Ponorogo is migrating to develop tourism potential in addition to agricultural potential.

Meanwhile, Head of Tourism Destination Division of East Java Culture and Tourism Office, Susiati admitted that one of the objectives of this Tourism Village Assistance activity is to increase the capacity of Tourism Village managers.
