Ponorogo Regency succeeded in winning the Healthy Regency/City (KKS) Swasti Saba 2023 Wiwerda Category award after competing with 514 regencies and cities in Indonesia.
The prestigious Swasti Saba awards event is held every two years at the initiation of the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) and the Ministry of Home Affairs.
The 2023 Swasti Saba awarding night took place at the Grand Ballroom of the Kempinski Hotel Jakarta, on Tuesday (28/11/2023).
Head of the Ponorogo Regional Development Planning Agency, Agus Sugiarto, said that winning the KKS Swasti Saba award was a proud achievement. “Signifies an area that is clean, safe, comfortable and healthy to live in,” he said.
The nine domains included in a healthy order include healthy, independent community life, settlements and places of worship, traditional market, educational units, as well as tourism.
According to Agus Sugiarto, joint efforts are needed to maintain the nine orders so that a district is in the healthy category. In fact, improving it so that Ponorogo achieves Swasti Saba Wistara, the highest caste of Healthy Regency/City awards.
“Ponorogo’s great development has received appreciation from the central government,” he explained.
The central government awarded the Swasti Saba award to 136 regions. There are 27 districts/cities that received the Swasti Saba Wistara category, 34 districts/cities received the Swasti Saba Wiwerda category, and 75 districts/cities received the Swasti Saba Padapa category.*png.go. Adv/Man
