The attraction of Ngebel Lake became stronger after the road to Ponorogo’s main tourist attraction was touched by infrastructure development with financing from the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN).
Not half-heartedly, the Central Government is covering a cost ceiling of IDR 14.652 billion for road improvement work with the work title Corridor to Ngebel Lake Tourism. Not only that, the 5,311 kilometer lake ring road was also touched by repairs worth Rp. 15,082 billion.
Ponorogo Regent Sugiri Sancoko also inspected the work of the Corridor to Ngebel Lake Tourism including Mlilir-Semanding (685 meters) and Semanding-Ngebel (7,175 kilometers). Regent Sugiri Sancoko also circled the road around the lake with Ngebel Subdistrict Head Andri Hendhratmoyo, Monday (20/11/2023).
”The development of the tourist area will not be separated from three aspects. “That is road access, creating attractiveness and comfort,” he explained.
The Regent said that Ngebel Lake has a number of attractions. Starting from the cool air because it is at the foot of Mount Wilis, natural beauty, the unique taste of durian, dancing fountains, to dragon boat tours. Supporting tourist destinations are also in Gondowido Village and Pupus Village.
”The people are friendly, I’m sure Ngebel will be an attractive tourist spot. Moreover, it is supported by good road access,” explained Kang Regent.
Apart from access to Telaga Ngebel, there are three sections of the Corridor road leading to the Reog Monument and the Ponorogo Museum which were first touched by repairs. Namely, the Somoroto-Ngambakan section is 2,177 kilometers long, the Carat-Ngambakan section (2,650 kilometers), and the Ngambakan-Sampung section (2,540 kilometers). The road construction refers to Presidential Instruction (Inpres) Number 3 of 2023 concerning the Acceleration of Regional Road Connectivity. Adv/Man
