
Ponorogo Regent Sugiri Sancoko handed over Tobacco Excise Revenue Sharing Funds (DBHCHT) to a number of farmer groups whose use was in the form of deep groundwater irrigation (IATD), plantation production roads, rehabilitation of tertiary irrigation networks (RJIT), and storage warehouses for tobacco products at Pendopo Agung. The nominal DBHCHT for tobacco farmers is IDR 3.5 billion. Kang Regent – Regent Sugiri Sancoko’s nickname, expressed his support for tobacco farmers. Moreover, the area of tobacco plantation land in Ponorogo continues to increase to 2,500 hectares in 2023.
“In accordance with the proposal of APTI (Indonesian Tobacco Farmers Association) to provide a place to sell, such as a warehouse to store the harvested tobacco, we have finally realized it,” said the Regent.
The tobacco product storage warehouses are in Kunti Village, Sampung District and Tatung Village, Balong District. Meanwhile, the recipients of the IATD program are 14 farmer groups spread across Balong, Badegan, Jambon, Bungkal, Kauman, Mlarak, Sampung and Siman Districts.
“For plantation production roads and rehabilitation of tertiary irrigation networks according to needs,” explained Sugiri Sancoko.
The Ponorogo Regency Government has also completed the distribution of direct cash assistance (BLT) sourced from DBHCHT to 3,758 tobacco farm workers and 514 cigarette factory workers. Each person is entitled to BLT of IDR 1.2 million so they receive cash of IDR 5,126,400,000.*png.go. Adv/Man
