Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy Encourages Ponorogo to Build Creative Building Rp. 1.4 Billion

Ponorogo Regency deserves to be called a Creative City. Not only are a number of creative events being held by the Regency Government (Pemkab) to improve the economy of the creative industry in Bumi Reyog, even a number of supporting facilities have also been prepared.

The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf) of the Republic of Indonesia appreciates the efforts of the Ponorogo Regency Government, by disbursing a budget to support the creative industry in Ponorogo.

The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy’s form of support is the construction of a Creative Building which will be built on the former Lanang Ex-Market land located south of Legi Market, Ponorogo. Unmitigated, a budget of IDR 1.4 billion was disbursed from the 2023 APBN post for the construction of a building on an area of 6,350 square meters.

Ponorogo Regent Sugiri Sancoko confirmed that the construction of the Creative Building will be attempted this year, if there is not enough time it will be carried out next year considering that there are only 2 months left in 2023.

“Later, it will contain all creative products. It can be crafts and culinary,” he said, Thursday (26/10/2023).

Sugiri Sancoko admitted that the existence of the Creative Building is a complement to the food court area that will be built in that area. Where later every night will be filled with live music.

“So the creative economy, which includes crafts, culinary arts and trade, is growing and alive in Ponorogo. This is to answer future challenges, and prove that Ponorogo is worthy of being a UCCN network,” he concluded. Adv/Man
