Ponorogo Regency Information Communication Service Wins Best Rank in Public Relations Award 2023

The Ponorogo Regency Government (Pemkab) received an award from the 2023 East Java Public Relations Awards (JPRA). The Ponorogo Information Communication (Kominfo) and Statistics Service won the 3rd Best position in the Social Media Category.

General Administration Assistant. East Java Provincial Secretary Akhmad Jazuli handed over the award certificate directly to the Head of the Ponorogo Information Communication (Kominfo) and Statistics Service, Sapto Djatmiko Tjipto Rahardjo at the Vasa Hotel Surabaya, Monday (30/10/2023).

Jazuli hopes that all communications and information services in East Java will be able to maximize information channels as references for the public so that they can minimize the spread of hoaxes.

At the same time as the 2024 Simultaneous Elections, the government’s information channels should be able to become a tool to unify the nation. “Be a trusted information channel so that people use it as a reference,” said Jazuli.

JPRA is a form of appreciation to the regional apparatus of East Java Province as well as the communications and information services in 29 districts and 9 cities in managing websites and social media as information channels for the dissemination of public communication. In this annual activity, the Citizen Journalist Award was also handed over to the Community Information Group (KIM).

Head of the Ponorogo Communications and Information and Statistics Service, Sapto Djatmiko Tjipto Rahardjo, revealed that being the third best out of 38 regions in East Java Province was quite a proud achievement. The award from the JPRA event will be a motivation to improve the ranking next year.

“We hope that several categories and rankings will improve again. “Apart from that, we must improve the quality of information provided to the public so that it becomes a trusted reference,” said Sapto. /Kominfo
