
Ponorogo Regent Sugiri Sancoko continues to polish the Reog Monument and Ponorogo Museum (MRMP) area in Giri Seto Village/Sampung District. Most recently, to support tourist attractions there, dozens of uninhabitable houses (RTLH) belonging to residents around the MRMP will be face off.
Unmitigated, a budget of IDR 14.7 billion sourced from the APBN will be allocated for the revitalization of 61 housing units, including roads and drainage systems. It is claimed that village planning in the MRMP area will begin in 2024.
“Because there is a monument and museum on top of that, the unsuitable housing around it was built and arranged. The entrance road was improved, the drainage channel was also improved. The public facilities, there are beautifully arranged rubbish bins, a garden. So that it is ready to become a tourist city in the future, ” said Ponorogo Regent Sugiri Sancoko, Monday (11/09/2023).
Regent Sugiri added that the progress of revitalizing residential areas was carried out together with the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (Kemen PU-PR). Where currently the DED process and model plan are being created.
“The DED and mock-up are currently being made. Technical work will start in 2024. So while we wait for the finished monument, we are working on this,” he said.
Sugiri admitted, of the 61 housing units that would be revitalized, 7 housing units were demolished.
“So that the tourism ecosystem will grow here. Then we will organize the village,” he concluded. Adv/Man
