Even though the local revenue (PAD) target from the tourism sector in Ponorogo was revised three times. up to the final figure of IDR 4.5 billion in 2023. The regional government continues to strive to meet the targets that have been set.
“The initial target has been met in the middle of the year, and it continues to be increased and it has also been met,” said Head of the Ponorogo Culture, Tourism, Youth and Sports Service (Disbudparpora) Judha Slamet Sarwo Edi, Tuesday (12/9/2023).
According to the Head of the Culture, Tourism, Youth and Sports Service, Rp. 4.2 billion of the final target of IDR 4.5 billion has been achieved. Judha said that the entry fee for the Telaga Ngebel area was the biggest contributor to PAD from the tourism sector. The value reaches IDR 3.2 billion. “If this September it reaches 4.2 billion, then I am optimistic that the target at the end of the year can be achieved perfectly,” said Judha.
Juda revealed that the skyrocketing PAD achievements from the tourism sector cannot be separated from the Ponorogo Regent Sugiri Sancoko’s program in developing the Telaga Ngebel area as a tourist destination. Among them, the construction of a dancing fountain which can become an attraction so that visitors come. “The contribution is very large,” he explained.
The increase in PAD in the tourism sector is also correlated with an increase in the income of tourism service businesses. Especially when there is an event in the Telaga Ngebel area, visitors are guaranteed to come in droves. “The economic ecosystem around Ngebel Lake will benefit from the tourists who come,” he explained.*png.go./ Adv/Man.
