Ponorogo Regency Regional Government Receives APDI 2023 Indonesian Regional Government Appreciation

Accelerating development and improving the people’s economy through innovation in the tourism sector carried out by the Regional Government of Ponorogo Regency, successfully achieved the 2023 Indonesian Regional Government Appreciation (APDI) from the Directorate General (Dirjen) of Regional Autonomy (Otoda) of the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) in collaboration with B-Universe and the Association of Regency Governments throughout Indonesia (APKSI).

The award was handed over by the Executive Chairman of B-Universe, Enggartiasto Lukita to the Deputy Regent Lisdyarita at the JS Luwansa Hotel, Jakarta, on Tuesday (12/9/2023).

Appreciation from the Indonesian Regional Government is a prestigious award. given only to regions that successfully implement innovation policies that have implications for achieving people’s economic growth and regional development.

Ponorogo Regency competed with 548 Regional Governments, only 115 initiative files were selected by APDI, and were re-selected leaving 35 regions. And based on the jury’s assessment, 21 regional governments were finally selected, which were divided into 6 categories to receive APDI in 2023.

Deputy Regent of Ponorogo Lisdyarita said he was happy with this APDI award. This is proof that what he and Regent Sugiri Sancoko have done to build and grow the people’s economy after Covid-19 has attracted the attention of the central government and the world.

“The Ponorogo Regency Government is considered successful in placing the tourism sector as capital for economic revival. Actually, without any competition, we are working to accelerate in all fields,” he said.

Lisdyarita admitted that it was not only the tourism sector that was successful in becoming an economic driving force in Ponorogo. He also hopes that other sectors such as education, trade, health, infrastructure and agriculture will also move quickly for growth. “The right innovation when placing the tourism sector as a priority for economic revival. We want Ponorogo to become the best area with the support of all parties,” he concluded. Adv/Man
