
The Regional Government of Ponorogo Regency with a number of artists in Ponorogo in collaboration with the Maesa group held the Reog Street Carnival event. The activity, which was held on Jalan HOS Cokroaminoto, invited public interest.
Various performances were shown starting from the old Jathil lanang Tempo which was collaborated with the jathil Obyok dancers and the jathil festival or the present. Besides that, there is also an old Reog performance, which uses barongan or reog heads that are decades old.

“We invite all people to continue to build our culture, namely Reog Ponorogo. Because we have an extraordinary culture, and Reog belongs to all of us Ponorogo residents,” said Bobby Wibowo, organizer of the Reog Street Carnival.
He continued, Bobby added that apart from various art performances, there were also a thousand waroks eating satay together. They are representatives of students in a number of schools in Ponorogo.
“There are also a thousand warok eating satay. As a form of support for satay sellers in Ponorogo,” he explained.
Still according to Bobby, there is hope that this event will also be held annually and become an annual agenda.

“We hope this event can continue to exist and become an agenda every year. With various concepts that elevate Ponorogo culture. Introducing culture, so that it is not only known, but also introduced to young people and future generations,” he concluded.
