Creative Banana Festival presents a variety of processed bananas to increase the economy

Bananas are not only fried, but can be processed into various preparations with a distinctive taste. This is similar to what was done by the residents of the Surodikraman Village, Ponorogo, who held a contest made from banana ingredients, in order to celebrate the 78th Indonesian Independence Day.

The event, entitled Banana Creative Festival in Surodikraman Village, has succeeded in presenting dozens of processed banana-based foods and drinks. There are cakes made, then Crispy, wet cakes and many more.

“The banana processing competition was attended by 21 participants from RT representatives,” said Surodikraman Village Head, Supatmi.

Apart from that, according to Supatmi, if the processed menu continues to be developed, it can also be used as a source of income, so that it can improve the economy of the people of Surodikraman Village.

“The hope is that mothers must be productive in processing processed bananas, so that later they can bring high economic value. Part of Surodikraman Village is a banana producer, so it will develop bananas so that the selling value is high,” he explained.

Deputy Regent of Ponorogo, Lisdyarita, who was present, tasted a number of processed bananas that were served.

He appreciates the residents for being able to make various preparations made from bananas, which taste quite good. He called it an extraordinary new variation in banana processing.

“From banana crispy egg rolls, cakes, to puddings, everything has an extraordinary taste. I am very impressed with the creativity of the mothers in processing bananas into delicious dishes,” said Lisdyarita.

He continued, the Vice Regent added that the creation of the menu was a form of introducing products from Surodikraman residents. “This banana processing competition can increase the creativity of mothers in making food from banana ingredients, which so far have only been known as fried bananas,” he concluded.
