Ngebel Lake, which is the mainstay destination for Ponorogo Regency, continues to improve. It is hoped that the new dragon boat ride, which has been officially launched by the Ponorogo Regent, is expected to make visitors feel at home in this lake in Ngebel District.
The tourist boat in the shape of a dragon adds its own charm so that more and more tourists come to Ngebel Lake.
The tourist dragon boat, with a capacity of 20 people, can be enjoyed from 08.00 to 16.00 WIB. The operating hours could be extended to 17.00 WIB, if weather conditions permit.
Visitors who want to try the dragon boat ride need only spend IDR 10,000. This relatively cheap price, visitors will be invited to the lake, while enjoying the beautiful natural atmosphere.
“I have tried to ride this tourist dragon boat, and the sensation is indeed different. Joos anyway,” said the Regent of Ponorogo, Sugiri Sancoko.

The existence of this tourist dragon boat certainly adds to the richness of the rides at the Ngebel Lake tourist destination, besides previously there was a dancing fountain or Water Fountain.
“Actually, Telaga Ngebel has also been supported by other tourist destinations in the vicinity, such as Mloko Sewu, Mloko Jajar, Tirta Husada hot springs and many more,” he explained.
He continued, Sugiri added that if this boat is crowded and increases revenue in the tourism sector, it is possible that it will be added again.
“If it’s crowded, we’ll buy it again (dragon boat),” he explained.
The Head of the Ponorogo Culture, Tourism and Youth Sports Service (Disbudparpora), Judha Slamet Sarwo Edi, said that tourist dragon boats could already operate in Ngebel Lake. This is because they have obtained permits to operate special river and lake transportation from the East Java Province Transportation Service (Dishub) and the Tanjung Perak harbor harbor.
“We have obtained permits to operate this dragon boat from the East Java Transportation Agency and the Tanjung Perak Port Syahbandar,” he concluded. Adv/Ptr
