
Night Market Eid al-Fitr which is held by the Regency Government in Aloon-Aloon, Ponorogo City. Not only does it provide significant income to Regional Original Income (PAD), but it is also able to make hundreds of Small, Micro and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) actors reap profits.
From data from the Office of Trade, Cooperatives and Micro, Small Enterprises (Disperagkum) of Ponorogo Regency, from April 17 to May 6 2023, the implementation of the Night Market, PAD from the Night Market stall retribution sector reached more than Rp. 427.8 million, exceeding the regional income target from this activity which only IDR 300 million.
“Until now, Rp. 350 million has been realized for PAD. Our target is Rp. 300 million,” said Head of Disperdagkum Sumarno, Sunday (06/05/2023).
Meanwhile, Yoga Ali, one of the t-shirt sellers at the Aloon-Aloon Night Market, admitted that after three years of absence, this year’s event was quite busy. He admitted that in 14 days of selling t-shirts at this event, he was able to get a profit of up to IDR 5 million.
“Alhamdulillah. It’s quite busy this year, maybe three years of vacuum. If I sell here for 14 days, there are lots of people who buy. As for my profits while selling here, thank God, I can get up to 5 million,” said the resident of Ngrayun District.

Deputy Regent of Ponorogo Lisdyarita said that the enthusiasm of both local and out-of-town residents who visited the Night Market was quite busy. Almost every night during the 21 days of the event, thousands of visitors flock to the night market.
“Extraordinarily crowded. Counting the number of parking lots and lots of traffic, beating last Suro. Parking to Jenes and Tambakbayan,” he said.

Lisdyarita added that the high circulation of money in the 21 days of Pasar Malam is claimed to be significant in reducing inflation. He detailed that the current Regional Original Revenue (PAD) has reached IDR 427.8 million. “It is important to grow the economy and control inflation. The amount of incoming PAD reached IDR 427.8 million,” he concluded. Adv/Man.
