After it was officially held again, after being absent for 3 years due to the Covid-19 pandemic, thousands of visitors seemed to be busy flooding the Night Market which was held in Aloon-Aloon, Ponorogo City. In fact, the turnover of money every day is claimed to reach hundreds of millions of rupiah.
This was disclosed by Ponorogo Regent Sugiri Sancoko when visiting a number of Small, Micro and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) booths in Aloon-Aloon, Ponorogo City.

Regent Sugiri said, the momentum of returning to the Aloon-Aloon Ponorogo Night Market ahead of Eid al-Fitr this year is claimed to be able to leverage economic growth in Bumi Reog after the Covid-19 pandemic. A number of travelers from out of town have become a separate market for UMKM to get a fortune ahead of Eid.
“Because it was three years empty and now it’s open again, almost thousands of people come to visit. We predict the circulation of money at the Aloon-Aloon Night Market to reach hundreds of millions,” he said, Wednesday (19/04/2023).
The Regent of Ponorogo hopes that, apart from being entertainment for residents and travelers in Ponorogo, the activity of the Aloon-Aloon Night Market will have a big impact on the welfare of the local Ponorogo UMKM.
“The economy rotates, and is able to suppress inflation. Because during Eid like this, if you haven’t gone to Aloon-Aloon, you haven’t had Eid. That’s what happened in our society,” he concluded.

In line with this, the deputy regent of Ponorogo Lisdyarita expressed the hope that the night market will be able to boost the economy of small traders.
“Of course, in addition to bringing back the annual tradition of destinations, this night market is expected to be able to stimulate the economic vibrancy of small traders.” adv/man
