The Ponorogo Regency Government continues to strive to improve the welfare of creative economy actors. One of them is the Circle P system for Small, Micro and Medium Enterprises (UMKM).

As was done during the month of Ramadan this year, to introduce and market the original Ponorogo UMKM products, the Regency Government held a Ramadhan Bazaar for UMKM. This activity was held in the heart of Ponorogo City, namely on Jalan Hos Cokroaminoto. The Ramadhan Bazae itself will be held from 5 to 19 April 2023.

There are at least 29 booths prepared by the Regency Government free of charge for Ponorogo MUMKM who want to show and sell their creative products. Jalan Hos Cokroaminoto itself is a tourist spot that is visited by tourists, both local and outside the region.

“We invite the whole community, when the moment of Eid arrives. Serve snacks in jars on the table of their house with UMKM products. To overcome this capital economy, we really have to build a people’s economy and UMKM are at the forefront,” said the Regent, nicknamed Sugiri. Sancoko.

It was discussed regarding the Circle-P UMKM mechanism that was carried out to deal with the capital economy. Regent Sugiri explained, Circle-P UMKM is an effort to spread small bussines products evenly throughout Ponorogo. So that the UMKM economy rotates at the local level. Furthermore, when it is known throughout Ponorogo, UMKM products will later be spread at the regional to national levels and even aim at the international market after the availability of this market network.

“For example, if there is processed milk in Pudak District, we will distribute the product to Babadan District, which is a tempe producer. On the other hand, we will distribute Babadan UMKM products to Pudak. So that our UMKM products will have an even market throughout Ponorogo,” he explained.

Meanwhile, Deputy Regent Lisdyarita added, the Ramadhan Bazaar in the heart of Ponorogo is also proof of the Regency Government’s efforts to encourage Ponorogo UMKM to upgrade to a higher class. Not only does it help market it for free, the Regency Government does this activity in order to provide certainty to oversee the development of economic entrepreneurs in Ponorogo. “We want the economy to improve, so that UMKM are upgraded. Products from Ngrayun can be found here from the city area. The aim is to introduce products from each district,” he concluded. Adv/man
