Want to take part in KEN, Yogyakarta City Tourism Office Studying in Ponorogo

The inclusion of Ponorogo Regency in the top 10 of Kharisma Event Nusantara (KEN) 2023 has attracted the interest of a number of regions to come to Bumi Reyog, so that they can become part of Indonesia’s tourism agenda.

One of them, the City of Yogyakarta. Because they wanted to be part of KEN, this Student City studied at Ponorogo Regency.

The visit and mock study of the Yogyakarta City Tourism Office were received directly by the Ponorogo District Tourism, Youth and Sports Culture Office, Thursday (30/03/2023).

Taking place in the Banrangin Room, Graha Krida Praja Building Complex, Ponorogo Regency, this mock study was held in order to improve the quality of events held in Yogjakarta.

The Head of the Yogyakarta City Tourism Office, Wahyu Hendratmoko, said that the presence of the Yogyakarta City Tourism Office was to gain knowledge and strategies so that events held in Jogja could be included in the KEN.

“We are here with all our friends from Jogja wanting to learn from the seniors of Ponorogo Regency, who have been able to enter the Top 10 KEN 2023. We in Jogja have also had extraordinary events and also want to make our event included in KEN,” he said .

Meanwhile, the Head of the Ponorogo Regency Tourism, Youth and Sports Culture Office, Judha Slamet, admitted that he was pleased with the arrival of the Yogyakarta City Tourism Office. Apart from being proud, this could be a momentum to strengthen communication between the two regions in the tourism sector.

“Alhamdulillah, it is an honor and appreciation to be a copycat study. Of course it is a great honor for us, I hope this will be the start of a good relationship between the Yogyakarta Tourism Office and Ponorogo,” he said.

On this occasion, Judha explained what is needed for events to be included in KEN such as the Reog Ponorogo National Festival. Starting from the content of the event itself, the value in it and the economic impact it creates.

The meeting then continued with a question and answer session between the Government of Ponorogo Regency and the Yogyakarta City Culture Office and ended with a group photo session. adv/man
